THIS PAGE IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS ... IT IS ABOUT HOMENENE REPRESENTATION
I represented Homenene House at Orton Waterville PCC for the first year I was here.
Somebody needed to do it and nobody was doing it.
Representation at parish council level ensured we might have some chance of our concerns being dealt with.
Parish councils are non-party de jure and I was reluctant to continue.
I would have been prepared to serve but for two important reasons.
I am far too old and I believed I had found a better way.
Being represented by a much younger city councillor we would have the very best representation .
So I decided to support Ed.Hopkins in his bid to become a city councillor
and represent us in our own ward of Orton Waterville.
Having come to know Ed, I believed he would be the right person to represent us when we need representation
at the PCC and in the City. I helped Ed leaflet Homenene and I hoped you would turn out to vote for him.
The seat was won by independent Kirsty Knight with a massive majority of the ward ( almost half the 36% turnout)
