Leaseholders pay about £250 pa

(3) Larger flats pay proportionally more.
It is very reasonable to multiply 250 by 50
and accept the figure of £12,500 as 'ballpark'
If a total of £12,500 is removed from the UK economy and salted away offshore just from one small block with 50 residents in a small suburb of a small 'city' is it reasonable to extrapolate for the similarly sized unit at Yaxley and the Millhouse one with over eighty units? How much might be located as being extracted from definably old and frail residents in the twilight of their lives if this was scaled up.
What is the national population of independent living establishments.

How would to scale up to include the neighbouring counties of Lincs Leics & Cambs

Services: Electricity:
My electricity is supplied by British Gas and my flat has a 'smart' meter.
Since arriving I have kept a paper record of usage and it does not concur with the demands made by the supplier for payment. They are not overcharging me; they are undercharging and have consistently undercharged since the account was switched to my name in March 2023. I'd not been keeping my eye on the ball back then nor realised that even using no electricity, service charges (in my case about 50p a day, £15 per month or about £50 per season) meant that ignored bills would accumulate and indeed that is what happened. I received a stiff demand to clear my debt around Christmas.
I reviewed all paperwork received and discovered that the British Gas business template was not as expected. I'd believed the 'smart meter' somehow supplied actual and accurate figures to British Gas which would tally with numbers recorded by me by actually reading the meters and recording the numbers.
British Gas divine an arbitrary annual usage and divide it into seasonal components. Four times a year they send a statement but do not actually demand payment. Apparently they assume users will set up a direct debit based on their guesses.
In my case the usage was determined to be very small, about a quarter of a unit a day.
When I am not in residence, a cooler, some low watt lights and various LEDS are constantly on and use about a unit a day. Winter usage will be higher especially if I leave the storage heat on while away (which I tend to do at a low level rather than return to a cold flat). My own records show usage at about four units a day. When in residence, I will use heat and light as required, hot water for baths and the electrical kitchen appliances. Residential usage then works out at about eight units per day across the year. But when the sums are done that is almost 3000 units a year
My historic pattern has been to spend about three days out of seven at the flat and four away and in Summer time 3/7 and 4/7 stretches to 3/14 and 11/14. This equates to average usage over time of about 1.5 units per day. Since British Gas reckons I use 0.25upd you can see where this is going. Their model is charging me for one sixth of reality. Once I had copped this, I set up a standing order from my bank to British Gas for £50 a month. Over time, reality and perception will concur and I will be up to date with my account. Winter time has now arrived (27thOct) and I will be very interested to see how things develop over the coming months ... WIP

Concerned leaseholders are attempting to set up an RTM company to oust FirstPort for their ineptitude but a caucus of residents called a selective meeting in the common room in February 'chaired' by a known control freak who put together a 'plan' to frustrate the establishment of an RTM but needed to hide behind as many signatures as possible. The attendance at the 'private' meeting consisted primarily of residents who rent accommodation from leaseholders but included a number of leaseholders who had been fed a rich diet of horse-manure ... One resident, not a leaseholder, was evicted from the meeting before it started and a leaseholder was denied entry despite the venue being legally common ground
Black mould can affect every part of your body, including your eyes. Black mould spores in the air can enter your eyes and cause vision problems both immediately and over prolonged periods of exposure. The possibility of contracting such an infection is higher than the possibility of contracting covid.
There is black mould in a flat at Homenene House and the resident of that flat has a serious eye infection which may lead to the loss of that resident"s eye. The mould is caused by defective window sealing and water leakage which is the responsibility of the Homenene maintenance company FirstPort.
Window maintenance has been an issue for years at Homenene and excuse after excuse has been made to fob off affected leaseholders. Aforementioned resident has been complaining about his problem (Sorry FirstPort's problem) since 2015 and has been constantly and systematically ignored over the pst nine years.

There are c.3 larger flats which pay more.
c.£12,000pa is generated on behalf of the beneficial owner
